Why can't I simply have a fleeting case of Anorexia? Or Bulemia, perhaps? Certainly I am a very good little binger, it's the purging part I take issue with.
I was at extended family's house over the weekend. There was another girl there who is six months pregnant. She bemoaned her size and those of us post-partum bemoaned ours. I made the comment that during my pregnancies, my arse liked competing with my belly to see which one could get bigger. After delivery, it was apparent to all that my backside won and as a prize, I was now qualified to carry an entire Egyptian family on it.
Very Bridgette Jones-ish, I thought.
Well, silly me. I was told by a former family member (due to divorce) that the secret to dieting success was none of the above mentioned but rather ," Well, you just need to stop having so many babies."
Who knew? And to think all this time I thought it was the cookies.
You have *got* to be kidding--someone actually said that to you?? I always get the comments like, "well, you're caring for someone *else* now; think of his need for milk before you think of your need for thin thighs."
We cannot win!
