Do you and your spouse ever disagree on whether to keep certain items? My husband keeps things. He got sentimental when I tried to throw out his utterly disgusting microwave. He swore it was the only thing that's loyally stayed by his side since college. He thinks the best thing about gmail is that you never actually have to delete the email. You can just archive it (wink wink).
I,on the other hand, am a tosser. It gives me great pleasure to get. rid. of. stuff. As you can imagine, times can be tricky when a tosser and keeper share space.
I hate to start out the new year with a messy home and have systematically been cleaning out cabinets, drawers, and the like.Today, I discovered an unopened pack of condoms. According to the reformed fratboy that is my husband, it was wistfully referred to as ,"the weekender pack."
Rob was rather amazed that I would throw out such a valuable item. He suggested a number of friends we knew whom might be 'in need' of such a thing.I said no. "What about the yearly white elephant gift exchange?", he asked. I told him that I just didn't consider that to be in good taste. Grandma would clearly be offended if she opened that package.
